Join the Consumer Mobile team at Kraken to build a new application specifically designed for users in Asia. You will leverage React Native to deliver fast and trustworthy financial interfaces, addressing unique regional UX expectations and connectivity challenges.
This role requires end-to-end ownership of features, from problem definition to launch. You will collaborate closely with Product and Design teams to shape solutions that improve client journeys in trading and product discovery.
What you'll do
- Build and own React Native features from design through launch and iteration
- Partner with Product and Design to shape responsive financial experiences
- Manage state, rendering, and architecture for real-time data applications
- Guide the team on Asian regional UX, design, and connectivity constraints
- Conduct code reviews and drive technical discussions to raise quality standards
What you'll need
- Strong experience shipping production React Native applications
- Proven track record building consumer apps for Asian markets
- Ability to navigate firewall and connectivity restrictions in the region
- Product mindset with ability to turn ambiguous problems into outcomes
- Comfortable using AI tools like Cursor or Copilot to enhance workflow
- Fluent in written and verbal English for cross-functional collaboration
Nice to have
- Background in fintech, crypto, trading, or payments
- Experience with real-time streaming data and mobile performance
- Native mobile development skills in Swift or Kotlin
- Proficiency in Mandarin or another Asian language
- Experience working in startup or small-to-medium tech environments
