You will own the simulation environment that integrates with AeroVect's production autonomy stack. Your work ensures determinism and reproducibility, turning simulation runs into reliable release gates through precise evaluation layers and failure-triage tooling.

What you'll do

  • Build and extend simulation capabilities including vehicle models and environmental conditions
  • Maintain integration fidelity as the autonomy stack evolves
  • Operate cloud-based scenario execution with orchestration and result aggregation
  • Develop evaluation layers with precise assertions to gate releases
  • Create failure-triage tooling such as clustering and dashboards for engineers
  • Extend backend and frontend scenario authoring tools for the V&V team
  • Ensure simulation foundations remain deterministic and reproducible

What you'll need

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Robotics, or related field
  • Strong Python skills with a track record of maintainable code
  • Hands-on experience with simulation platforms like CARLA, Gazebo, or NVIDIA Omniverse
  • Working knowledge of simulation, modelling, and validation methodology
  • Proficiency with Docker, Linux, and GPU-based simulation environments
  • Experience with CI/CD and integrating automated test workflows
  • Skills in debugging and profiling distributed, GPU-bound systems

Nice to have

  • Master’s degree in Computer Science, Robotics, or related field
  • Experience validating safety-critical systems in autonomous driving or aerospace
  • Familiarity with autonomous vehicle software stacks like ROS or ROS2
  • Background in cloud-based simulation infrastructure and distributed test execution
  • Knowledge of sensor modelling for camera, lidar, or radar
  • Experience with log re-simulation from recorded real-world data
  • Exposure to safety standards such as ISO 26262 or ISO 21448
