As a Senior Solution Engineer, you will act as a strategic technical leader for Snowflake’s enterprise accounts in Malaysia. You will partner with Account Executives to identify new workloads and guide stakeholders in adopting Snowflake for data, analytics, and AI strategies.
The position requires deep industry knowledge in Telco or Financial Services to design high-impact architectures. You will lead technical discovery, execute proofs of concept, and serve as the primary technical advisor for complex customer expansions.
What you'll do
- Own technical expansion strategy for Telco and FSI portfolios
- Identify new use cases like risk compliance and network analytics
- Lead technical discovery sessions with architects and data leaders
- Design and deliver tailored demos and technical narratives
- Execute proofs of concept to prove value and de-risk decisions
- Guide customers on data modeling and cost governance best practices
- Collaborate with sales and partners to ensure customer success
- Represent Snowflake at industry events and executive briefings
What you'll need
- 7+ years in customer-facing technical roles like Solutions Engineer
- Strong expertise with cloud data platforms and big data technologies
- Proficiency in SQL and programming languages such as Python
- Proven ability to design data integration and analytics architectures
- Industry experience in Financial Services or Telecommunications
- Success in driving technical wins in enterprise accounts
- Excellent communication skills for technical and business audiences
- Based in Malaysia with ability to travel within the region
Nice to have
- Hands-on experience with Snowflake or similar cloud-native platforms
- Familiarity with AWS, Azure, or GCP data ecosystems
- Understanding of regulatory landscapes like Bank Negara Malaysia
- Experience with BI tools such as Tableau or Power BI
- Prior field pre-sales experience at a data platform company
