As a Senior Solutions Engineer at Andela, you will act as a technical partner to customers, sales teams, and delivery units. You will lead discovery processes, define solution architectures, and ensure that proposed engagements are technically viable and aligned with business goals.
You will work across Andela’s portfolio, including Talent, AI, and Learning solutions. The role also involves improving internal sales engineering practices by developing playbooks, automation tools, and technical assessment frameworks.
What you'll do
- Lead technical discovery with stakeholders to define objectives and constraints
- Design initial solution architectures, scopes, and delivery models
- Identify optimal service mix from Talent, AI, or Learning portfolios
- Conduct technical presentations, demos, workshops, and RFP responses
- Validate approaches with Delivery teams to ensure feasible commitments
- Develop internal tools, automation, and AI-assisted qualification methods
- Create reusable playbooks and solution patterns from field experience
- Feedback customer insights to improve offerings and go-to-market strategy
What you'll need
- 6+ years in Sales Engineering, Solution Architecture, or consulting
- Strong fluency in cloud architecture, APIs, data platforms, and AI
- Ability to translate ambiguous business problems into technical solutions
- Experience evaluating technical tradeoffs, risks, and dependencies
- Excellent communication skills for business and technical audiences
- Proven track record working cross-functionally with Sales and Product
- Familiarity with generative AI, LLMs, and AI-assisted development
- Comfort with prototyping, APIs, and automation workflows
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience
Nice to have
- Experience with managed services or technical assessments
- Background in training, enablement, or application modernization
- Knowledge of data engineering or enterprise technology solutions
