Join the Sales Engineering team to guide enterprise clients through technical evaluations of the Coder platform. You will partner with Account Executives to demonstrate value for both human developers and AI coding agents, managing the technical relationship from initial demo to final win.
What you'll do
- Own technical relationships with prospects during pre-sales cycles
- Demonstrate platform capabilities for developers, admins, and AI agents
- Install and configure software on cloud, on-prem Kubernetes, or VMs
- Execute proofs-of-concept to validate value and accelerate deals
- Translate technical wins into business cases for economic buyers
- Route customer insights to Engineering and Product teams
- Track product issues and feature requests using Linear
- Troubleshoot deployments, networking, and Kubernetes components
- Contribute pull requests to improve official documentation
What you'll need
- At least 5 years as a Solutions Engineer in infrastructure or dev tools
- Strong customer-facing skills to build trust with technical stakeholders
- Ability to translate technical hurdles into business value instantly
- Understanding of agentic AI software development use cases
- Comfort leading architecture demos and deep-dive troubleshooting
- Deep Linux fundamentals and command line proficiency
- 3+ years hands-on experience with Docker and Kubernetes
- Experience with AWS, Google Cloud, or Microsoft Azure
- 3+ years with Terraform or similar infrastructure-as-code tools
- Solid grasp of networking including ingress, proxies, and load balancers
- Experience with AI tooling and LLM infrastructure like LiteLLM
Nice to have
- Success at both high-growth startups and larger software vendors
- Direct experience deploying AI coding agents in customer environments
- Background in CI/CD, DevOps, or developer-platform products
- Experience in platform engineering or developer platform teams
- Kubernetes, AWS, or related professional certifications
