Join the Solutions Engineering function at Payward Services, an enterprise infrastructure platform enabling trading, payments, and digital asset services. You will partner with sales and architecture leads to run discovery, design winning solutions, and build proofs of concept that close deals.
This execution-focused role requires running deals end-to-end, from initial technical discovery to handing off structured solution designs to the implementation team. You will work within established playbooks to deliver technical wins for fintechs, banks, and payment providers.
What you'll do
- Conduct technical discovery with prospects to map architecture and compliance needs
- Design tailored solutions using existing offerings or bespoke integrations
- Scope and build proof-of-concepts to demonstrate technical feasibility
- Execute clean handoffs to implementation teams with docs and knowledge transfer
- Identify product gaps from customer interactions to inform the roadmap
- Write RFPs and document solution approaches for technical buyers
What you'll need
- 4+ years in technical pre-sales or solutions engineering at a B2B API company
- Proven track record in discovery, solution design, and PoC delivery
- Fluency with REST/WebSocket APIs, OAuth, JWT, and webhook architecture
- Experience designing complex integrations for fintechs, banks, or neobanks
- Strong ability to package solution designs for faithful implementation
- Clear communication skills for discovery calls and design reviews
Nice to have
- Knowledge of crypto trading, custody, KYC, or staking mechanics
- Experience with embedded finance or crypto-as-a-service products
- Familiarity with Coast for building proof of concept sales demos
- Hands-on experience with AI development tools like Claude Code or Cursor
