Join the Sales Engineering team to partner with Account Executives in closing revenue opportunities with enterprise clients. You will demonstrate how Coder’s platform supports both human developers and AI coding agents, managing the technical relationship from initial qualification to final win.
The role requires balancing deep technical proof-of-concepts with high-level business case translation. You will serve as the voice of the prospect, feeding insights back to Engineering and Product teams while troubleshooting deployments and networking issues during evaluations.
What you'll do
- Own technical relationships with prospects to drive technical wins
- Demonstrate platform from developer, admin, and AI agent perspectives
- Install software on cloud, on-prem Kubernetes, or VM infrastructure
- Execute proofs-of-concept for agentic and LLM-powered workflows
- Route prospect insights to Engineering and Product teams
- Track product issues and feature requests using Linear
- Troubleshoot deployments, networking, and Kubernetes components
- Contribute pull requests to official documentation
What you'll need
- Minimum 5 years as a Solutions Engineer in infrastructure or dev tools
- Strong customer-facing skills to build trust with technical stakeholders
- Ability to translate technical hurdles into business value instantly
- Understanding of agentic AI software development use cases
- Deep Linux fundamentals and command line comfort
- 3+ years hands-on experience with Docker and Kubernetes
- Experience with AWS, Google Cloud, or Microsoft Azure
- 3+ years with Terraform or similar infrastructure-as-code tools
- Solid grasp of networking including ingress and load balancers
- Experience with AI tooling and LLM infrastructure layers
Nice to have
- Success at both high-growth startups and larger software vendors
- Direct experience deploying AI coding agents in customer environments
- Background in CI/CD, DevOps, or developer-platform products
- Experience in platform engineering or developer platform teams
- Kubernetes, AWS, or related professional certifications
