You will drive the strategy for how AI transforms analytics and reporting at Stellar Health. This includes owning tool selection, architecture, and governance for AI agents, as well as evolving the underlying data infrastructure. You will work closely with analytics engineers to ensure data models support both human analysts and AI systems accurately.
What you'll do
- Set strategy for AI in analytics, reporting, and self-serve data access
- Own tool selection, administration, and architecture for AI agents
- Design evaluation and guardrail systems to ensure reliable agent output
- Define governance processes for proposing and shipping AI analytics use cases
- Debug complex failures involving data modeling and system design
- Mentor analytics engineers and analysts on AI-assisted workflows
- Refine dbt and Snowflake models to support AI consumption and accuracy
- Lead semantic and context layers including metric definitions and metadata
What you'll need
- 8+ years experience in data platform, ML platform, or developer tooling
- Production experience architecting LLM systems, agents, and RAG workflows
- Strong expertise in dbt and cloud warehouses, preferably Snowflake
- Track record of driving technical consensus across multiple teams
- Experience communicating externally via blogs, talks, or open source
- Ability to balance strategic planning with hands-on data modeling
Nice to have
- Experience with Claude Code or Agent SDK
- Background in healthcare or claims data
- Prior experience building platforms from scratch (0→1)
