As a Senior Staff Engineer, you will drive technical strategy and execution while setting engineering standards. You will work with Kotlin Multiplatform to share code across native apps and collaborate with product and design leaders.
What you'll do
- Lead end-to-end technical execution from architecture to deployment
- Define and enforce engineering principles and best practices
- Drive Kotlin Multiplatform adoption across Android and iOS apps
- Mentor engineers and elevate code quality through reviews
- Partner with product and design on high-impact technical decisions
- Resolve critical incidents as part of the on-call rotation
- Identify roadblocks and facilitate cross-team collaboration
What you'll need
- 10+ years building scalable and performant Android applications
- Expertise in Kotlin Multiplatform and Compose Multiplatform
- Experience with backend client APIs and platform engineering
- Knowledge of observability practices like logging and tracing
- Strong communication skills for diverse technical audiences
- Ability to drive consensus and mentor other developers
- Thrives in fast-paced, high-growth environments
Nice to have
- Experience sharing code via native libraries or cross-platform tools
- Background in sports, e-commerce, or gaming industries
- Familiarity with webviews and multi-technology app coherence
- Ability to work in both legacy and greenfield codebases
