As a founding frontend engineer at Flick, you will shape the future interface for AI visual storytelling. You will work directly with the founders to build the core experience, focusing on the canvas, timeline, and creative tooling that define the product.
What you'll do
- Lead architecture and development of editor UI from scratch
- Build core features like canvas, timeline, node graph, and playback
- Prototype and iterate on new creative workflows rapidly
- Establish best practices for code quality and performance
- Collaborate with design, product, and AI backend teams
- Drive technical and product decisions as a founding member
What you'll need
- At least three years of professional experience
- Experience leading technical initiatives on web apps
- Strong expertise in React, TypeScript, and build systems
- Deep experience optimizing complex UX interactions
- Ability to design scalable UI architectures
- Comfortable managing large, dynamic client-side state
- Thrives in fast-moving startup environments
Nice to have
- Experience with video editors or creative canvas tools
- Familiarity with animation or node-graph editors
- Passion for films and art
- Open-source contributions or personal coding projects
