Runway is replacing traditional spreadsheets with a modern platform that makes business planning accessible to all teams. As a Product Engineer, you will work across the stack to architect core features, improve technical foundations, and collaborate closely with design and product teams.
You will help shape the company culture and product direction while solving complex problems related to data modeling, real-time collaboration, and AI-driven insights for world-class customers.
What you'll do
- Plan, architect, and implement core product features across the stack
- Build flexible technical foundations to support diverse product needs
- Develop real-time collaboration tools like branching and user presence
- Scale frontend performance for large datasets and fluid user experiences
- Create AI features to simplify business modeling and analysis
- Mentor team members and help attract new engineering talent
What you'll need
- 5+ years of professional fullstack engineering experience
- Proven track record of building high-quality products quickly
- Strong ownership mindset with autonomy to solve customer problems
- Collaborative approach working with PM, design, and other teams
- Ability to refactor code and balance technical depth with speed
Nice to have
- Experience leading development on large web applications
- Expertise in React and TypeScript
- Background as a founder or experience in early-stage startups
- Interest in advancing developer tooling and AI technologies
- Experience building product infrastructure on platforms like Vercel
