Join Cision as a Staff Full Stack Software Engineer to design and deliver internal platforms used by enterprise infrastructure teams. You will operate as a technical leader, influencing design decisions and setting engineering standards while working independently on complex systems.
The team enables platform, operations, and engineering groups with tools that improve visibility, reliability, and automation across large-scale global infrastructure.
What you'll do
- Architect and own full-stack software platforms for infrastructure teams
- Lead technical design for systems processing operational data at scale
- Develop backend services and APIs for data collection and querying
- Build web interfaces with advanced search and filtering capabilities
- Design ETL pipelines for structured and semi-structured data sources
- Ensure applications are containerized using Docker and Kubernetes
- Set engineering best practices for testing and code quality
- Review designs and code to raise the overall technical bar
What you'll need
- Experience as a Staff or Senior Full Stack Software Engineer
- Ability to work independently in ambiguous problem spaces
- Strong backend engineering skills including API design
- Proficiency in C#, Python, Go, or Java
- Strong SQL skills and experience with relational databases
- Hands-on experience with Docker and containerized delivery
- Understanding of distributed systems and cloud-native design
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience
Nice to have
- Experience operating systems on Kubernetes
- Familiarity with PostgreSQL or MySQL
- Experience with ETL pipelines or analytics platforms
- Exposure to GCP or AWS cloud platforms
- Background building tools for SRE or DevOps teams
- Understanding of observability and reliability engineering
