Join the Platform & Infrastructure team at SandboxAQ to build foundational services like compute, storage, and networking. You will enable scientists and engineers to innovate at scale by ensuring high availability and reliability for Large Quantitative Models.
As a technical leader, you will define long-term infrastructure vision, solve complex systemic challenges, and elevate engineering standards. The role requires breaking down multifaceted problems into actionable requirements while mentoring junior and mid-level staff.
What you'll do
- Define and execute long-term infrastructure vision for AI workloads
- Mentor junior and mid-level engineers to foster high standards
- Diagnose complex technical bottlenecks using first principles
- Design foundational platform services to improve developer experience
- Collaborate with product and security teams on performance and safety
What you'll need
- 10+ years of software development experience with distributed systems
- 5+ years leading engineering teams and influencing technical strategy
- Expertise in cloud-native infrastructure, preferably GCP and Kubernetes
- Deep knowledge of GPU/ML infrastructure for training and inference
- Ability to decompose complex problems into incremental designs
Nice to have
- Proficiency in architectural patterns for low-latency services
- Experience in high-growth environments with rapidly pivoting needs
- Background in multi-tenant data governance and federated access
- Work history in regulated environments with SOC2 or export controls
