As a Technical Individual Contributor Leader, you will partner with senior leadership to define the technical roadmap for the Provider group. You will drive high-impact initiatives, establish engineering standards, and guide the modernization of critical healthcare infrastructure.
This position requires deep expertise in distributed systems and the ability to influence cross-functional teams without direct authority. You will mentor engineers, review architectures, and ensure the delivery of high-throughput, low-latency solutions.
What you'll do
- Set the technical roadmap and engineering standards for the Provider organization
- Drive high-impact initiatives spanning multiple teams within the domain
- Mentor engineers and review system architectures for scalability
- Influence product strategy and engineering direction across stakeholders
- Establish design patterns and guide the full development lifecycle
What you'll need
- 10+ years of professional software engineering experience
- Full-stack experience with SQL/NoSQL databases and web applications
- Proven track record as a principal or lead architect
- Deep knowledge of microservices and cloud infrastructure
- Experience building high-throughput, low-latency distributed systems
- Strong communication skills to bridge technical and non-technical groups
Nice to have
- Background in healthcare data standards like FHIR or HL7
- Experience developing SaaS applications on AWS
- Familiarity with Node.js, TypeScript, and Kafka
- Previous work in finance or mission-critical systems
- Experience with on-call rotations and complex issue resolution
- Prior experience in a start-up environment
