Qumulo seeks a Senior Systems Engineer to manage technical customer engagements across the Southeast region. You will partner with sales teams to design file storage and data management architectures for diverse workloads, including AI/ML and analytics.
The role requires translating business needs into scalable solutions for on-premises, hybrid, and cloud environments. You will build credibility with infrastructure teams and maintain technical toolkits such as reference architectures and demo content.
What you'll do
- Own technical relationships from discovery through proof-of-concept
- Partner with account teams to qualify deals and shape strategies
- Design solutions for file services, backup, analytics, and AI/ML
- Create architectures for multi-site collaboration and disaster recovery
- Build reference architectures, demos, and competitive positioning materials
What you'll need
- 6+ years in customer-facing technical roles like Systems Engineer
- Proven track record leading complex pre-sales engagements
- Strong knowledge of enterprise storage, NFS, SMB, and object systems
- Experience with hybrid cloud solutions and multi-cloud data management
- Ability to translate requirements into practical solution designs
- Strong presentation skills for technical and executive audiences
Nice to have
- Experience with AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud migration and tiering
- Familiarity with storage platforms like NetApp, Pure, or VAST
- Knowledge of containers, Kubernetes, or DevOps workflows
- Understanding of ransomware recovery and business continuity
- Experience with capacity planning and TCO analysis
