You will take technical ownership of the mobile application, driving architecture, performance, and reliability for next-generation DeFi trading experiences. As a hands-on leader, you will define engineering standards while collaborating with product and backend teams to deliver intuitive mobile solutions.
This role requires balancing high-level architectural decisions with direct implementation in React Native and TypeScript. You will guide other engineers through code reviews and design discussions, ensuring scalable and maintainable code across the platform.
What you'll do
- Own mobile app architecture, scalability, and long-term maintainability
- Lead engineering lifecycle from design and coding to release and monitoring
- Build complex features using React Native and TypeScript
- Define and enforce engineering standards and best practices
- Provide technical guidance via code reviews and pair programming
- Collaborate with product and backend teams on API design and integrations
- Manage App Store and Google Play releases and troubleshoot production issues
What you'll need
- 10+ years of software engineering experience with mobile focus
- Strong professional experience with React Native, React, and TypeScript
- Experience building fintech, trading, or blockchain applications
- Proven track record leading technical development of production apps
- Deep understanding of mobile architecture, state management, and testing
- Experience integrating mobile apps with backend APIs and services
- Proficiency with Node.js and REST APIs
- Fluent in English and based in EU or New York timezone
Nice to have
- Knowledge of iOS and Android platform-specific behaviors
- Experience scaling apps with large production user bases
- Work with real-time market data or performance-sensitive interfaces
- Previous experience as a Tech Lead in mobile engineering
- Familiarity with gRPC, Server-Sent Events, or WebSockets
