You will take technical ownership of the mobile application, balancing hands-on implementation with high-level architectural decisions. Working closely with product and backend teams, you will build scalable, reliable trading experiences for the Injective blockchain ecosystem.
The ideal candidate operates with autonomy, raises the engineering bar through code reviews and mentorship, and ensures long-term maintainability across iOS and Android platforms.
What you'll do
- Drive architecture, scalability, and performance of the React Native app
- Lead the full engineering lifecycle from design to release and monitoring
- Define and maintain engineering standards, patterns, and best practices
- Make key technical decisions balancing speed, scalability, and debt
- Provide technical guidance via code reviews and pair programming
- Collaborate with product and backend teams on API design and integrations
- Manage App Store and Google Play releases and troubleshoot production issues
What you'll need
- 10+ years of software engineering experience with mobile focus
- Strong professional experience with React Native, React, and TypeScript
- Experience building fintech, trading, or Web3/DeFi applications
- Proven track record owning technical development of production mobile apps
- Deep understanding of mobile architecture, state management, and testing
- Experience integrating mobile apps with backend APIs and Node.js services
- Fluent in English and based in EU or New York timezone
Nice to have
- Understanding of iOS and Android platform-specific behaviors
- Experience scaling apps with significant production user bases
- Work with real-time market data or performance-sensitive financial interfaces
- Previous experience as a Tech Lead in a mobile engineering team
- Familiarity with gRPC, Server-Sent Events, or WebSockets
