Loancrate builds AI-driven software to automate mortgage workflows, aiming to replace legacy systems and reduce costs for homebuyers. As a Senior Technical Product Manager, you will define product direction, collaborate closely with engineering, and translate complex LLM capabilities into reliable financial tools.
What you'll do
- Own the full product lifecycle from discovery to delivery and iteration
- Translate non-deterministic LLMs into reliable mortgage automation features
- Lead customer discovery with lenders and loan officers to shape roadmaps
- Prototype ideas using AI coding tools to validate concepts early
- Write clear product specs and acceptance criteria for engineering teams
- Define success metrics and drive post-launch improvements based on data
- Partner with sales and success teams to influence deal cycles
- Travel domestically approximately once a month to visit customer sites
What you'll need
- Technical background sufficient to read code and discuss architecture
- Fluency with LLM concepts like prompting, evals, and retrieval
- Experience building B2B SaaS products in regulated industries
- Strong customer research skills to synthesize qualitative insights
- Data fluency for pulling dashboards and forming hypotheses
- Track record of shipping products in fast-moving startup environments
- Exceptional written communication for specs and async updates
- Ability to build trust with engineers through technical understanding
