You will report to the Director of Financial Services and help cultivate an inclusive, high-performing engineering culture. Your focus will be on mentoring staff, aligning with product teams, and ensuring the delivery of scalable software systems that support the company's long-term vision.
What you'll do
- Guide and motivate software developers solving complex financial domain problems
- Manage the team through collaboration with and mentorship of a Technical Lead
- Align team priorities and roadmaps with architects and product stakeholders
- Identify and remove impediments to delivery across the organization
- Plan professional growth including reviews, feedback, and promotions
- Report on team progress and status to engineering leadership
- Hire top talent for the team and wider organization
- Provide technical and process guidance during delivery
What you'll need
- Experience leading developer teams through successful software delivery
- Track record of delivering scalable, cloud-based microservice applications
- Strong working knowledge of Java, TypeScript, Ruby, or Python
- Professional experience with agile development and continuous delivery
- Strong written and verbal English communication skills
- Ability to coach, mentor, and drive individual and team performance
- Passion for continuous learning and improvement
- Focus on software scalability, resilience, and quality
Nice to have
- Experience in the Payments domain
- Background in building scalable SaaS solutions
- Experience in full-stack web application development
- Solid knowledge of AWS and GCP cloud services
- Project Management or Scrum master experience or training
- Experience in test automation or DevOps engineering
