Join the team managing petabyte-scale sensor and system data generated by an autonomous-driving fleet. You will own critical parts of the data path, ensuring reliability from high-throughput vehicle recording to efficient access for machine learning and analytics.
The work involves solving systems challenges across resource-constrained vehicle computers and large-scale offline infrastructure. We welcome engineers with backgrounds in systems, robotics, storage, or data infrastructure.
What you'll do
- Design C++ systems for continuous vehicle sensor and telemetry recording under resource constraints
- Build Python services for data transfer, ingestion, validation, and cataloging
- Evolve versioned vehicle-data formats and their APIs for serialization and compatibility
- Improve columnar and lakehouse data representations for fleet-scale analytics
- Ensure compliance with Quality Management System requirements and drive improvements
What you'll need
- Degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience
- Programming experience in modern C++ and working proficiency in Python
- Linux systems knowledge including concurrency, memory, and networking
- Self-driven mindset with strong ownership and ability to learn quickly
Nice to have
- Familiarity with protobuf, gRPC, compression, or media codecs
- Experience with autonomous vehicles, robotics, or ROS/ROS 2
- Knowledge of robotics log formats like rosbag or MCAP
- Experience with Parquet, Delta Lake, or Apache Iceberg
