Join a team developing digital infrastructure for grant funding, combining AI analysis with expert review to simplify administration for organizations. As an early-career engineer, you will build features end-to-end while working closely with the CTO in an AI-native environment.
This position offers significant guidance initially, progressing toward independent ownership of backend, frontend, and AI pipeline components. It is designed for those seeking a steep learning curve and real production responsibility.
What you'll do
- Ship features end-to-end from backend logic to user interface
- Build and maintain the platform's AI pipeline and evaluations
- Trace and resolve bugs in production using monitoring tools
- Collaborate with the CTO to solve real user problems
- Use AI-native development tools like Claude Code or Cursor
- Progress from guided tasks to independent feature ownership
What you'll need
- 1–3 years of experience or recent graduation with strong projects
- Solid fundamentals in TypeScript and/or JavaScript
- Willingness to work across React, Node/Express, Postgres, and AWS
- High self-motivation and ability to investigate problems independently
- Familiarity with AI tools such as Claude Code or Cursor
- User-first mindset focused on practical software solutions
Nice to have
- Experience with AI tools or LLM APIs via projects or study
- German language skills at B1 level or above
- Side projects, open-source contributions, or independent work
