Join the Windows VPN team at Proton to design, build, and evolve privacy-preserving desktop applications used by millions. You will manage the full application lifecycle, from feature implementation to deployment and monitoring, while collaborating with product managers and engineers across the company.
What you'll do
- Design, build, and maintain Proton's Windows desktop applications
- Define and improve testing stacks including unit and GUI tests
- Manage CI/CD configuration, deployment, and monitoring
- Handle operational incident response and performance optimization
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on feature design
What you'll need
- Strong experience in C# and .NET development
- Proven track record building Windows desktop apps with WinUI or WPF
- Solid understanding of MVVM, dependency injection, and async programming
- Experience driving technical change and leading complex projects
- Familiarity with Git workflows, GitLab CI/CD, and observability tools
- Knowledge of networking fundamentals like TCP/IP and DNS
Nice to have
- Experience with Rust programming language
- Interest in VPN technologies and protocols
- Background in code debugging and performance profiling on Windows
