Join the team behind Enchant, a multimodal transformer model trained on diverse biomedical data. You will design and maintain agentic systems that convert raw data sources into reviewed, versioned datasets by generating pipeline code and test suites. Your work sits at the intersection of LLM-based automation and biomedical data engineering, ensuring reliable data acquisition at scale.
What you'll do
- Design agentic systems that transform data pointers into versioned datasets with reproducible code
- Develop LLM-based pipelines for cleaning and normalizing diverse biomedical data modalities
- Implement automated quality-control workflows to detect anomalies and enforce standards
- Evaluate agent architectures and prompting strategies to improve reliability and throughput
- Collaborate with ML scientists to translate data requirements into scalable processing systems
- Monitor distributed data pipelines in production and diagnose failures for robustness
- Document data provenance and processing decisions to support auditing and reproducibility
- Operate agents safely using sandboxed execution and least-privilege credentials
What you'll need
- Master’s degree in computational STEM or Bachelor's with 2+ years of industry experience
- Strong Python engineering skills with experience in production-quality software
- Hands-on experience with LLM APIs and agentic patterns like tool use and orchestration
- Familiarity with biomedical or chemical data sources such as PDB, UniProt, or FASTA
- Comfort with data engineering fundamentals including ETL design and validation
- Experience with Python testing frameworks such as pytest fixtures and parametrization
Nice to have
- Experience with agent orchestration frameworks and evaluation harnesses for LLM code
- Familiarity with cloud infrastructure and workflow orchestration like AWS or Kubernetes
- Knowledge of multimodal biomedical data spanning molecules, proteins, or clinical records
- Experience constructing large-scale datasets for ML model training
- Knowledge of agent security practices including sandboxing and prompt injection defense
