Join the Mail team at Superhuman to engineer the backend services powering their AI productivity platform. You will develop high-throughput systems for agent orchestration and real-time data pipelines, scaling infrastructure for millions of users.
What you'll do
- Build high-throughput services for AI agent orchestration and integrations
- Design core platform services to ensure system scalability
- Collaborate with ML, Product, and Front-End teams on AI features
- Develop infrastructure as code for high availability
- Mentor junior engineers and promote engineering best practices
- Contribute to documentation, testing, and reliability standards
What you'll need
- 8+ years of back-end development experience
- Strong fundamentals in algorithms, data structures, and system design
- Experience deploying and debugging production systems at scale
- Proficiency with AWS, GCP, or Azure cloud platforms
- Fluency with AI coding tools like Copilot or Cursor
- Deep understanding of CI/CD and infrastructure as code
- Ability to work independently and manage cross-functional priorities
Nice to have
- Experience with real-time systems or event-driven architectures
- Background in high-throughput API design
- Strong product instincts and user experience focus
