What you'll do
- Build experiments for monetization, host experiences, and personalization
- Evolve backend systems balancing speed with code health and scalability
- Collaborate with product, design, and data teams on high-impact features
- Instrument and analyze experiments to guide future iterations
- Advocate for simplicity and maintainable solutions in a legacy codebase
What you'll need
- 4–5 years of backend development experience
- Strong foundation in Python or Java
- Experience with relational or NoSQL databases like PostgreSQL or DynamoDB
- Ability to balance short-term velocity with long-term maintainability
- Understanding of distributed systems patterns and API contracts
- Product mindset connecting technical work to business impact
