Join the team building Super Intelligence technologies at SpaceXSI, including Grok models and Cursor. You will evolve the systems that power revenue reconciliation and charging across millions of developers and enterprise teams. This is a specialized individual contributor role focused entirely on the billing stack, not general backend work.
What you'll do
- Implement end-to-end changes for usage and billing systems from edge events to invoicing
- Evolve the ledger system to serve as the source of truth for balances and adjustments
- Integrate deeply with Stripe for subscriptions, webhooks, and complex payment scenarios
- Build APIs and internal tools for finance and support teams to query customer state
- Improve observability across the billing pipeline to detect discrepancies quickly
- Partner with product and infrastructure teams to ship new pricing models safely
- Own usage limits, payments, grants, and ledger correctness across the product family
What you'll need
- Experience shipping production usage-based billing systems with strong metering architecture
- Deep knowledge of Stripe data model, webhooks, and handling error cases
- Experience building or maintaining a financial ledger with correctness guarantees
- Ability to balance rapid feature delivery with strict revenue and trust protection
- Comfortable working end-to-end from infrastructure scaling to UI component tweaks
- Strong focus on idempotency and exactly-once semantics in distributed systems
