Join the Data Platform Serving team at TRM Labs to maintain the high-availability serving layer for government cloud investigations. You will work alongside the domain owner to ensure the StarRocks-backed infrastructure remains fast, reliable, and compliant while scaling to meet public sector needs.
The role focuses on reducing single points of failure and accelerating issue resolution through AI-assisted debugging and query profiling. You will operate in a regulated environment where reliability is critical, collaborating with distributed teams to keep the government platform at parity with commercial offerings.
What you'll do
- Tune StarRocks serving layer performance using AI-assisted query profiling
- Harden data pipelines for government cloud investigations
- Reduce single-point-of-failure risks in GovCloud infrastructure
- Triage production issues via AI-assisted debugging and log analysis
- Operate and troubleshoot the serving layer independently
What you'll need
- U.S. citizenship is mandatory for government cloud access
- Experience operating distributed OLAP or serving-layer systems
- Proficiency in query tuning and performance optimization at scale
- Track record of owning data pipeline reliability and incident response
- Comfort using AI tools like Claude or Cursor for debugging and review
- Ability to ramp up quickly on unfamiliar production infrastructure
