You will own the user interfaces that deliver AI capabilities across Superhuman's product line, including Go, Mail, and Docs. The work focuses on streaming AI content, inline agent suggestions, and no-code agent builders, ensuring fluid interactions across browser extensions and native desktop applications.
The team collaborates with Product, Design, and ML engineers to translate complex AI workflows into intuitive experiences. You will contribute to high-availability systems used by millions, mentor junior engineers, and help shape the engineering culture through documentation and testing.
What you'll do
- Build interfaces for AI products like real-time chat and inline agent suggestions
- Design responsive UIs using React and TypeScript
- Work across product suites including Go, Mail, Docs, and enterprise tools
- Ensure high availability for consumer and enterprise customers
- Solve interaction design challenges involving streaming content and state
- Collaborate with Product, Design, and ML teams on user experiences
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to documentation and testing
What you'll need
- At least 5 years of front-end development experience
- Expert knowledge of TypeScript, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS
- Extensive experience with ReactJS and modern web client tools
- Strong fundamentals in algorithms and data structures
- Comfort building UIs for LLM-generated content and agentic workflows
- Fluency with AI coding tools like Copilot or Cursor
- Deep understanding of continuous integration and delivery methods
- Ability to work independently and manage priorities across projects
Nice to have
- Experience integrating AI or ML into product surfaces
- Background with browser extensions or cross-platform web clients
- Experience shipping front-end code across web, desktop, and mobile
