Join the Growth Foundations team at Payward, the parent company of Kraken. You will establish foundational frontend infrastructure, best practices, and component systems that serve the entire .com platform. This UI-heavy role involves shipping projects quickly while setting gold standards for quality and consistency across the organization.
What you'll do
- Build a comprehensive component library and design system using React.js
- Create reusable, accessible components integrated with a custom CMS
- Translate designs into pixel-perfect, responsive UI implementations
- Establish frontend best practices and coding standards for the organization
- Mentor engineers and influence technical strategy decisions
- Optimize component performance and developer experience
- Document components to enable consistent development across teams
What you'll need
- 4+ years of software development experience with web applications
- Deep understanding of JavaScript/TypeScript and React framework
- Strong UI engineering skills including advanced CSS
- Experience building or contributing to design systems at scale
- Proficiency with modern frontend build tools like webpack or vite
- Experience with API design and integration (REST, GraphQL)
- Strong knowledge of web accessibility (WCAG) standards
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
Nice to have
- Knowledge of cryptocurrency industry and blockchain technology
- Experience with Next.js and server-side rendering patterns
- Familiarity with TypeScript in large codebases
- Experience mentoring engineers on component architecture
