Join Higharc as a Staff Software Engineer to drive the technical direction of the Home Design Experience application. You will partner with product leadership to transform ambiguous concepts into responsive 3D web tools, balancing immediate delivery with scalable architectural patterns.
This position requires deep expertise in modern web technologies and a passion for creating intuitive spatial interfaces. You will work across the UI, state management, and service layers while guiding less experienced team members through code reviews and technical mentorship.
What you'll do
- Prototype and ship customer-ready home design workflows rapidly
- Lead development of interactive 3D scenes and AI-supported interactions
- Own application architecture from prototype through production release
- Partner with product leads to define scope and mitigate technical risks
- Mentor junior engineers via pairing, reviews, and clear guidance
- Collaborate with platform teams to establish reusable code patterns
What you'll need
- Proven track record architecting and shipping substantial web apps
- Deep hands-on experience with TypeScript and React
- Expertise in application state, API integration, and performance
- Ability to make independent technical decisions with product partners
- Experience mentoring engineers and improving team delivery
- Comfortable working with ambiguity and narrowing project scope
Nice to have
- Experience with Three.js and browser-based 3D applications
- Background in building design or CAD tools
- Enthusiasm for AI-forward and agentic product experiences
- Strong instincts for design craft and user experience
