Join the Scaling team at Bubble to support high-growth customers by enhancing infrastructure and core backend systems. You will work on delivering just-in-time capacity, optimizing workloads, and ensuring data scalability across millions of applications.
This position involves tackling challenges similar to those faced by major cloud providers, helping to define stable and secure software generation for a global user base.
What you'll do
- Contribute to infrastructure scaling for apps of any size and complexity
- Improve performance and reliability of backend services and data tiers
- Support observability efforts and implement service level objectives
- Build and iterate on core backbone services handling billions of requests
- Enhance the workflow engine for high-volume data ingest and export
- Develop foundational tools for next-generation cloud infrastructure
- Participate in on-call triage to diagnose and resolve production issues
What you'll need
- At least two years of industry experience as a software engineer
- Strong coding skills with an ownership mindset
- Understanding of scalable distributed systems
- Willingness to learn Node.js, Rust, PostgreSQL, and Terraform
- Track record of solving problems in high-traffic applications
- Excellent communication skills for effective team partnership
- Availability for after-hours on-call support when needed
Nice to have
- Experience working in high-growth startup environments
- Familiarity with AWS infrastructure services
