Join the Account Experience team at Primer, where you will build and maintain the platform merchants use to interact with payment services. This includes tools for account setup, monitoring, workflows, and AI companion interfaces, ensuring a cohesive user experience.
What you'll do
- Own frontend projects from scoping to production for payment surfaces and merchant tools
- Lead architectural decisions and produce RFCs with minimal senior oversight
- Build composable, performant, and adaptable user interfaces
- Monitor production metrics to proactively identify and fix issues
- Maintain high code quality standards and review peer contributions
- Lead incident response efforts and keep stakeholders informed
- Share knowledge to raise team engineering confidence and quality
What you'll need
- Solid frontend engineering experience delivering production-grade work independently
- Extensive experience with TypeScript and ideally web components
- Ability to scope, plan architecture, and execute projects without constant direction
- Strong understanding of building accessible and performant UI at scale
- Capable of contributing to architecture discussions and articulating trade-offs
- Writes clean, well-tested code consistently
- Understands user and business context behind technical tasks
- Communicates clearly in async-first environments
