Join the core engineering team at Granica to design and operate infrastructure that powers massive data systems and automated deployments. You will focus on deep engineering tasks rather than operations or feature delivery, enabling fast research-to-production cycles and reliable enterprise AI workloads.
The role requires building scalable, cost-efficient systems and improving developer experience through automation. You will collaborate across teams to solve architecture and scaling challenges while owning customer-facing technical integrations.
What you'll do
- Design and operate cloud infrastructure for petabyte to exabyte-scale systems
- Manage production Kubernetes clusters ensuring high availability and scaling
- Build and optimize CI/CD pipelines for faster builds and safer deployments
- Automate workflows to reduce friction and improve developer experience
- Contribute to end-to-end testing and release-confidence systems
- Strengthen observability across logging, metrics, tracing, and alerting
- Guide customer deployments and troubleshoot infrastructure-level issues
- Drive operational excellence through reliability and best practices
What you'll need
- Five or more years in infrastructure, platform, or distributed systems engineering
- Strong coding skills in Go, Java, Python, or similar languages
- Production-grade Kubernetes experience with strong cloud skills
- Deep experience with CI/CD systems and cloud infrastructure on AWS, GCP, or Azure
- Proficiency with infrastructure-as-code tools like Terraform
- Ability to debug complex cross-layer issues in networking, storage, and runtime
- Track record of designing scalable, reliable, and cost-efficient systems
- Strong communication skills and ability to thrive in startup environments
Nice to have
- Experience with data platforms or lakehouse systems
- Familiarity with Spark, Trino, Iceberg, Delta, or Airflow
- Exposure to observability stacks such as Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, or Datadog
