Join the Infrastructure Security team at WorkOS, where you will build the primitives that enable secure application development. The team focuses on workload identity, ensuring internal applications authenticate via short-lived credentials rather than static secrets. You will help unify authorization management and improve the developer experience by making security measures seamless to adopt.
What you'll do
- Build workload identity infrastructure to make short-lived credentials default
- Implement identity-based authentication for internal services and dependencies
- Replace static passwords and tokens with automatically rotated managed secrets
- Create a unified interface for centrally managing and enforcing authorization policies
- Drive adoption of new security primitives across engineering teams
What you'll need
- 5+ years in software engineering with focus on security or distributed systems
- Strong knowledge of secrets management and fine-grained authorization
- Familiarity with Kubernetes, JWTs, X.509, PKI, and SPIFFE/SPIRE
- Experience operating production infrastructure with high availability standards
- Proven ability to lead large-scale migrations and drive cross-team adoption
