Join the CF Benchmarks Index Team at Payward, the parent company of Kraken. You will implement new financial benchmarks and ensure the reliability of a platform that powers 99% of the regulated crypto derivatives market. This position requires close collaboration with product teams to deliver end-to-end features for high-throughput systems.
What you'll do
- Build benchmark calculation systems using new methodologies
- Collaborate with product teams to develop new features
- Contribute to data analysis, infrastructure, and backend logic
- Support a 24/7 real-time distributed system
- Ensure system coverage with tests, metrics, and alarms
- Provide pricing and data services to the financial sector
What you'll need
- At least 3 years of fintech development experience
- Strong foundation in Java application development
- Experience building high throughput, real-time systems
- Ability to write maintainable and efficient code
- Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and Git workflows
- Strong mathematical and reasoning skills
- Excellent written and verbal English communication
Nice to have
- Experience with benchmarks or pricing models
- Knowledge of cryptocurrency or blockchain technology
- Proficiency with SQL and data analytics
- Familiarity with RPC, protobuf, message queues, or Redis
