Join Smartsheet’s expanding engineering team in Bulgaria to help unite human teams with AI agents. You will contribute to a modern SaaS stack hosted on AWS, working on both legacy monoliths and new microservices to automate tasks and uncover insights at scale.
What you'll do
- Manage the full development lifecycle from concept to release
- Design scalable, high-availability system architectures
- Implement new features and enhance existing product functionality
- Maintain service APIs serving millions of users
- Collaborate with systems engineers to resolve infrastructure issues
- Participate in quality assurance and defect resolution
- Work across front-end, back-end, and infrastructure disciplines
What you'll need
- Proficiency in Golang, Java, C, or Node.js
- Knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and React.js
- Understanding of Object-Oriented design and Microservice Architecture
- Experience building scalable, high-availability applications
- Comfortable working in Linux command line environments
- Degree in Computer Science or equivalent industry experience
- Legal eligibility to work in Bulgaria
- Fluency in English
Nice to have
- Experience with DynamoDB, MySQL, or other databases
- Familiarity with AWS, Docker, or AWS certifications
- Experience with Kubernetes or HashiCorp tools
