Assured provides software solutions that automate and improve claims processing for large insurers, replacing manual workflows with technology-driven decision-making. As a Software Engineering Manager, you will lead a talented team to scale the platform, drive engineering excellence, and shape the company's growth phase.
You will balance hands-on technical guidance with people management, focusing on architectural decisions, team development, and cross-functional collaboration to deliver secure and reliable features.
What you'll do
- Mentor engineers through feedback and career growth discussions
- Collaborate with product and design to deliver scalable features
- Guide architectural decisions and promote engineering best practices
- Refine processes to support hiring and improve team velocity
- Foster a culture of transparency, adaptability, and shared ownership
- Navigate growth challenges while maintaining focus on business value
What you'll need
- At least 8 years of software engineering experience
- Minimum 3 years in a leadership or management role
- Experience leading teams in high-growth startup environments
- Ability to stay hands-on with code when needed
- Proven track record in attracting and retaining engineering talent
- Skill in translating business needs into technical roadmaps
Nice to have
- Familiarity with Node.js and TypeScript
- Experience with React and GraphQL
- Knowledge of Python and Docker
- Proficiency with PostgreSQL and AWS
