Join the team supporting Common Infrastructure Services for Submarine Warfare Federated Tactical Systems. You will integrate software components into Linux-based computing environments and manage build processes.
The role involves setting up and troubleshooting hardware and software test environments while ensuring system availability and security hardening.
What you'll do
- Integrate software components into Linux-based Common Computing Environment
- Improve software build processes and automate installation tasks
- Set up and maintain hardware and software test environments
- Troubleshoot software and hardware issues using advanced techniques
- Configure and harden Red Hat Enterprise Linux servers and network switches
- Develop automated build processes with continuous quality analysis
What you'll need
- Bachelor's in Computer Science or related field plus 2 years experience
- Master's degree plus 6 months of relevant job experience
- Must be a US citizen and local to the Manassas, VA area
- Ability to obtain Department of Defense Secret security clearance
- Hands-on experience with Linux based high availability systems
- Proficiency in Bash and Python scripting for automation
- Experience with Kubernetes or Linux container orchestration
Nice to have
- Experience with Docker or Podman containers
- Knowledge of RKE2 Kubernetes distribution
- Red Hat System Administrator or Engineer certification
- Programming skills in C/C++ or other high order languages
- Experience in DevSecOps and Agile methodologies
