As a Solutions Architect at Mapbox, you will act as a trusted technical advisor for enterprise clients. You will partner with sales teams to discover customer needs, design scalable architectures using Mapbox SDKs and APIs, and drive adoption through workshops and proofs of concept.
This position requires a blend of software engineering background and commercial acumen. You will translate complex business requirements into robust technical solutions while providing feedback to product and engineering teams to influence platform direction.
What you'll do
- Partner with sales to position technical value and shape opportunities
- Lead technical discovery to define customer goals and success criteria
- Design and present scalable architectures using Mapbox platform services
- Respond to RFI/RFQ requests with clear technical documentation
- Deliver rapid technical enablement via workshops, demos, and PoCs
- Advocate for customer needs to influence product and engineering roadmaps
- Stay current on mapping, mobility, and AI technologies
What you'll need
- 5+ years in solutions architecture, consulting, or customer-facing engineering
- Native-level fluency in both Mandarin and English
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or Engineering
- Knowledge of web and mobile technologies including JavaScript, Android, and iOS
- Experience building applications integrating back-end APIs and front-end SDKs
- Strong business acumen and ability to work autonomously
- Willingness to travel up to 25% for meetings and events
Nice to have
- Experience with GIS, location intelligence, or geospatial data
- Experience with major cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or GCP
- Experience with AI technologies
- Background in industries such as logistics, telecom, or weather
