Join the Applied Engineering team at Deepgram, where you will serve as the primary technical interface for customers throughout their journey. You will own post-sales implementations, resolve complex technical challenges, and build automation to enhance support infrastructure. The role offers a path to grow into broader pre-sales and implementation responsibilities while impacting customer success.
What you'll do
- Own technical design and delivery of customer implementations from kickoff to production
- Lead deployment scaling efforts including capacity planning and rollout sequencing
- Design solutions that integrate with each customer's existing stack and constraints
- Develop reusable implementation patterns, reference architectures, and playbooks
- Create automation and self-service tooling to reduce time-to-value for customers
- Collaborate with product teams to advocate for customer needs and influence roadmap
- Provide support for complex post-onboarding cases and occasional pre-sales tasks
What you'll need
- 3+ years of experience implementing technical solutions for enterprise customers
- Strong software engineering background with professional development experience
- Proficiency in Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, Rust, C/C++, or similar languages
- Experience leading technical delivery of production deployments end-to-end
- Ability to scope complex technical work and sequence it for successful delivery
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for technical and business audiences
Nice to have
- Experience with speech recognition, NLP, or AI Voice agents
- Knowledge of cloud platforms like AWS, GCP, or Azure
- Familiarity with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes
- Experience with API-first products and developer tools
- Background in change management or implementation methodology
- Experience producing reference architectures or deployment templates
