As a Solutions Architect, you will collaborate with Sales throughout the customer lifecycle, translating ClickHouse capabilities into solutions for real business problems. You will design reference architectures, manage technical evaluations, and advise on schema design and migration strategies.
The team values technical excellence and customer obsession, operating in a fast-paced environment where you can influence product direction through structured customer feedback.
What you'll do
- Act as technical advisor from discovery through production deployment
- Design reference architectures and data models tailored to use cases
- Run technical proofs of concept and performance benchmarks
- Partner with Account Executives to close complex deals
- Deliver technical presentations to engineers and executives
- Advise on schema design, query optimization, and migration
- Provide internal feedback on product gaps and features
- Create reusable technical content and demo assets
What you'll need
- Experience in customer-facing technical roles like Sales Engineer
- Deep hands-on experience with SQL and analytical databases
- Strong understanding of distributed systems fundamentals
- Comfort with modern data stack including Kafka and cloud infra
- Ability to win technical evaluations against competitors
- Excellent communication skills for diverse audiences
- Self-starter comfortable with ambiguity and revenue goals
- Willingness to travel periodically for events and visits
Nice to have
- Direct experience deploying ClickHouse in production
- Experience with real-time analytics or observability
- Contributions to open-source data infrastructure projects
- Prior experience at an early-stage or hypergrowth startup
