As a Solutions Engineer at Cogent Security, you will serve as the technical backbone of the post-sales process. You will scope and design implementations for complex enterprise environments, translating customer needs into actionable engineering plans without writing production code.
This founding role involves defining the Solutions Architect function while working alongside Technical Account Managers. You will leverage deep domain expertise in vulnerability management to ensure successful deployments and reduce the need for dedicated forward-deployed engineering resources.
What you'll do
- Scope and design Cogent instance builds for customer environments
- Write clear tickets to hand off solution designs to engineering
- Serve as technical counterpart to TAMs for client relationships
- Manage enterprise-scale deployments with multiple stakeholders
- Build repeatable scoping practices to streamline implementation
- Define the Solutions Architect function as the team scales
What you'll need
- 10+ years of professional experience in relevant fields
- 5+ years of expertise in vulnerability management or adjacent security
- Experience scaling processes at early-stage companies
- Track record working with CISOs and large deployment teams
- Management experience including hiring and building teams
- Familiarity with APIs for reading, writing, and validating data
- Strong communication skills for technical translation
