As a Solutions Engineer at Primer, you will serve as a trusted technical partner to forward-thinking companies shaping the future of commerce. You will empower merchants to build confidently on Primer’s platform by unblocking proofs of concept and future-proofing architectures.
Working closely with product, engineering, and commercial teams, you will translate complex requirements into robust solutions. Your focus will be on guiding technical strategy and ensuring every integration is solid, helping merchants not just go live but scale effectively.
What you'll do
- Consult with merchants to identify pain points and demonstrate Primer's value
- Provide technical expertise to support the sales team in business development
- Translate business requirements into technical solutions and vice versa
- Lead discovery sessions, solution design workshops, and product demos
- Collaborate with Product to identify feature enhancements based on market feedback
What you'll need
- Experience in a merchant-facing role with a complex API product
- Background in payments industry is highly desirable
- Ability to lead discovery sessions with technical counterparts at large merchants
- Strong understanding of technical specifications and system design
- Excellent communication skills for technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Creative problem-solving skills for unique merchant scenarios
- Experience working in fast-paced, scaling environments
