Join the Commercial Solutions Engineering team at Skydio, acting as the technical bridge between customers and product development. You will partner with Account Executives to translate industrial challenges into scalable drone programs, ensuring successful deployments across utilities, security, and infrastructure sectors.
The role focuses on technical discovery, solution design, and post-sale expansion. You will define operational workflows, manage integrations, and provide structured feedback to engineering teams to drive product improvement and customer satisfaction.
What you'll do
- Partner with sales teams on technical discovery and solution design
- Translate complex use cases into scalable operational workflows
- Execute structured proofs of concept with measurable value
- Guide integration strategies involving APIs and data environments
- Manage airspace strategy including BVLOS approvals and waivers
- Support customer onboarding, implementation, and program expansion
- Provide prioritized technical feedback to Product and Engineering
What you'll need
- Active FAA Part 107 Certificate
- Experience in unmanned aircraft operation or regulatory environments
- Background in aviation, engineering, CS, or hardware design
- Familiarity with REST-based APIs and system integrations
- Experience in utilities, AEC, security, or oil and gas sectors
- Ability to communicate technical concepts to diverse audiences
- Willingness to travel 50 to 75 percent of the time
- Ability to lift up to 60 lbs unaided
Nice to have
- Networking experience or CCNA certification
- Knowledge of GIS, photogrammetry, or survey workflows
- Experience with dock-based and BVLOS operations at scale
- Working knowledge of Salesforce, Palantir, or Databricks
