Join Pliant as a Solutions Engineer to act as a technical consultant for clients adopting their modular payment infrastructure. You will collaborate with Sales, Product, and Engineering teams to ensure smooth integrations, deliver technical guidance, and translate customer feedback into product improvements.
This position requires working remotely within the Eastern Standard Time zone. You will manage end-to-end integration lifecycles, from initial discovery and proof-of-concepts to go-live support and developer enablement.
What you'll do
- Lead technical onboarding and drive integration timelines for API-based setups
- Support pre-sales activities including demos, solution design, and RFPs
- Troubleshoot post-sales integration issues and coordinate fixes with Engineering
- Conduct workshops and training to help customers use public APIs effectively
- Create reference architectures, playbooks, and internal enablement materials
- Capture structured customer feedback to inform product and documentation updates
What you'll need
- 5+ years in solutions engineering, sales engineering, or technical consulting
- Strong expertise with REST APIs, JSON, webhooks, and OAuth authentication
- Proficiency in TypeScript, Python, or Java for building prototypes and tests
- Excellent communication skills for engaging engineers and business stakeholders
- Experience owning complex integrations and coordinating multiple stakeholders
- Ability to build repeatable processes for intake, triage, and enablement
- Fluent in English
Nice to have
- Background in fintech, payments, or commercial cards
- Experience with ERP or accounting systems like NetSuite, SAP, or Xero
- Knowledge of other European languages
