We are seeking a Senior Data Governance Manager to drive the adoption of a new operating model and foster a data-centric culture. You will partner with Data Stewards and owners to ensure data integrity, security, and compliance across the organization.
The role requires designing strategies for data quality and usability while leveraging AI to improve workflows. You will lead cross-functional initiatives, manage metadata processes, and upskill teams through targeted training programs.
What you'll do
- Support rollout of Data Governance operating model and engage stewardship community
- Manage data lifecycle including access, classification, storage, and deletion
- Partner with Data Office to maintain standards and resolve data issues
- Translate data risks into business implications for leadership stakeholders
- Define strategies to improve data integrity, consistency, and quality
- Lead governance initiatives from strategy phase through execution
- Maintain data catalogs, lineage, and metadata management processes
- Develop training programs to strengthen data literacy across teams
- Create guides and templates to empower stakeholders in quality maintenance
- Establish KPIs to measure initiative effectiveness and report progress
What you'll need
- 8+ years experience in data management and governance roles
- Background preferably within a SaaS environment
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Statistics, CS or related field
- Proven experience designing governance frameworks in large organizations
- Knowledge of selecting and implementing governance tools
- Deep understanding of full data lifecycle and governance requirements
- Knowledge of privacy regulations like GDPR and CCPA
- Proficiency in SQL for dataset analysis and trend identification
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Experience with business process modeling and workshops
- Ability to influence stakeholders across business and technical teams
- Passion for leveraging AI to improve productivity and outcomes
