As a Senior Data Scientist at Hims & Hers, you will drive technical execution within the data organization by translating complex business challenges into scalable data products. You will operate with high autonomy, owning projects from initial analysis through to production deployment while collaborating with Product, Engineering, and Business stakeholders.
What you'll do
- Build baseline models and features from scratch in a 0-to-1 environment
- Own the full model lifecycle including extraction, engineering, and deployment
- Conduct A/B testing and monitor ongoing model performance
- Partner with cross-functional teams to define technical requirements
- Write clean, modular, and production-ready code
- Mentor junior data scientists and analysts on best practices
What you'll need
- 5+ years of applied experience in Data Science or ML Engineering
- Strong expertise in Python and SQL
- Familiarity with pandas, NumPy, scikit-learn, and ML frameworks
- Experience building for production in cloud environments like AWS or GCP
- Knowledge of CI/CD workflows, Git, and ML Ops principles
- Ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
- BS, MS, or equivalent in a quantitative field
Nice to have
- Experience taking first ML models from notebooks to production pipelines
- Background in customer behavior or propensity modeling
- Experience with time-series forecasting or anomaly detection
- Knowledge of optimization engines for marketing or inventory
- Expertise in causal inference and experimental design
