You will independently manage the full lifecycle of high-complexity AI engagements, from technical discovery to production handoff. Your work focuses on orchestrating AI agents, automating manual tasks, and building reusable Deployment Kits that empower solutions consultants and partners.
This position requires deep expertise in production LLMs and system architecture. You will drive the intelligence loop by presenting field findings and contributing to platform improvements while ensuring clients can operate their new systems without ongoing engineering support.
What you'll do
- Lead end-to-end scope, architecture, and validation of complex AI deployments
- Architect multi-agent solutions tailored to customer workflows and compliance
- Design client-specific MCP resource packs for personalized intelligence
- Create documented Deployment Kits usable by non-engineering consultants
- Conduct AI workshops and transfer deployment patterns to partners
- Mentor junior engineers on code reviews and engagement quality
- Present field findings and author strategic memos for platform improvement
What you'll need
- 6–10+ years in software engineering with 3+ years deploying AI/ML
- Deep proficiency in Python and strong skills in TypeScript/JavaScript
- Experience leading enterprise technical engagements and security reviews
- Expertise in multi-agent orchestration, MCP, RAG, and evaluation frameworks
- Ability to explain system architecture to both CIOs and junior engineers
- Strong written communication for runbooks, memos, and training materials
- Eligibility to work in the UK on an ongoing basis
- Willingness to travel domestically and internationally 25–50% of the time
Nice to have
- Experience scaling a Forward Deployed Engineering function
- Background as a technical founder
- Familiarity with Databricks, AWS Bedrock, or Temporal
- Domain knowledge in healthcare, financial services, or government
- Contributions to agent frameworks like LangChain or Strands SDK
- Proficiency in German or French languages
- Knowledge of AI governance, GDPR, or UK/EU AI Act regulations
