As Hims & Hers expands its use of artificial intelligence and machine learning, this position owns the global regulatory strategy for these technologies. You will guide Product, Engineering, and Legal teams through complex compliance landscapes, ensuring responsible innovation while balancing speed and patient safety.
The ideal candidate combines deep regulatory expertise with business judgment, translating evolving requirements into actionable plans. You will build scalable governance frameworks for algorithm monitoring and cybersecurity, helping the company navigate ambiguity in international markets.
What you'll do
- Own global regulatory strategy for software and AI/ML products
- Partner with Product, Engineering, and Legal to shape early strategy
- Advise on emerging digital health and cybersecurity requirements
- Build scalable governance frameworks for algorithm monitoring
- Identify regulatory risks and opportunities in ambiguous areas
- Monitor global developments to position business for future changes
- Translate complex regulatory needs into clear business actions
What you'll need
- 12+ years in Regulatory Affairs with digital health depth
- Experience engaging FDA and international authorities
- Knowledge of AI/ML, software lifecycle, and cybersecurity standards
- Ability to make decisions with imperfect information
- Skill in influencing technical and executive stakeholders
- BSc or MSc in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field
- Comfort moving between strategy and hands-on execution

- Advanced degree such as MS, PhD, or JD
- Regulatory Affairs Certification (RAC)
