You will drive the development of first-of-its-kind chemical refining processes while contributing to software for capital project execution. This position requires leading controls infrastructure from concept through commissioning and supporting the growth of an in-house engineering team.
What you'll do
- Develop standards for controls programming and infrastructure
- Lead equipment scopes from concept validation to commissioning
- Manage external providers and engineering companies for delivery
- Drive cross-functional teams to scale up technical equipment
- Support hiring and mentorship of junior process engineers
- Develop technoeconomic models for new project opportunities
- Prepare engineering deliverables for financing due diligence
- Identify software tools for process engineering and project management
- Support automation of capital project workflows and control algorithms
What you'll need
- Strong understanding of engineering fundamentals and problem solving
- Experience with brownfield equipment modifications and upgrades
- Experience with greenfield equipment design and optimization
- Background in industrial manufacturing or mineral processing
- Experience in large-scale chemical production processes
- Experience with engineering, procurement, and construction firms
- Direct or indirect leadership experience with engineers and technicians
- Project management experience with capital projects over $5M
